एवं रामाय कौरव्य वसिष्ठोडकथयत्‌ पुरा | तस्मात्‌ सुवर्णदानाय प्रयतस्व नराधिप

Transliteration

evaṁ rāmāya kauravya vasiṣṭho ’kathayat purā | tasmāt suvarṇa-dānāya prayatasva narādhipa kuru-nandana nareśvara ||

Translation

Bhishma berkata: “Wahai Kauravya, pada masa lampau Vasiṣṭha menuturkan kepada Rama (Paraśurāma) seluruh kisah ini—asal-usul emas dan kemuliaannya. Karena itu, wahai raja, wahai kebanggaan Kuru, berusahalah dengan sungguh-sungguh untuk bersedekah emas.”
