Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
मया श्रुतमिदं पूर्व पुराणे भूगुनन्दन । प्रजापते: कथयतो यथान्यायं तु तस्य वै,'भुगुनन्दन! मैंने पहले पुराणमें प्रजापतिकी कही हुई यह न्यायोचित बात सुन रखी है
mayā śrutam idaṃ pūrvaṃ purāṇe bhṛgunandana | prajāpateḥ kathayato yathānyāyaṃ tu tasya vai ||
Wahai kesayangan keturunan Bhṛgu, dahulu aku mendengar hal ini dalam sebuah Purāṇa—perkara yang sama, diucapkan oleh Prajāpati selaras dengan keadilan dan tatanan yang benar.
