Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined inquiry in dharma: when uncertainty arises, one should approach a trusted, authoritative teacher and seek a clear resolution rather than scattering questions among many sources.

During Bhīṣma’s instruction in the Anuśāsana Parva, Yudhiṣṭhira respectfully presents that he has a specific doubt and requests Bhīṣma (the ‘Grandfather’) to resolve it, declaring he will not consult anyone else on this matter.
