Vipula’s Yogic Protection of the Guru’s Household (विपुलस्य योगरक्षा / Vipulasya Yogarakṣā)
न कामभोगान् विपुलान् नालंकारान् न संश्रयान् । तथैव बहु मन्यन्ते यथा रत्यामनुग्रहम्
na kāmabhogān vipulān nālaṅkārān na saṁśrayān | tathaiva bahu manyante yathā ratyām anugraham ||
Mereka tidak menilai tinggi kelimpahan kenikmatan indria, perhiasan, ataupun tempat tinggal yang elok, sebagaimana mereka menilai kasih dan perhatian yang ditunjukkan dalam keintiman.
भीष्म उवाच
Material comforts—pleasures, ornaments, and fine housing—do not equal the value of considerate, affectionate treatment in intimacy; relational harmony depends more on respect and kindness than on possessions.
In Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma continues instructing Yudhiṣṭhira on dharma, here emphasizing a practical principle of household life: emotional consideration and tenderness are prized more than external gifts.
