ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins
शक्रस्त्वमिति यो दैत्यैर्निंगृहीत: किलाभवत् | उनके पुत्रो गृत्समद हुए जो रूपमें दूसरे इन्द्रके समान थे। कहते हैं, किसी समय दैत्योंने उन्हें यह कहते हुए पकड़ लिया था कि “तुम इन्द्र हो"
śakrastvam iti yo daityair niṅgṛhītaḥ kilābhavat |
Bhishma berkata, “Dikisahkan bahwa pada suatu ketika ia pernah ditangkap oleh para Dānava (Daitya), karena mereka menuduh, ‘Engkau adalah Śakra (Indra).’ Putranya bernama Gṛtsamāda, yang rupanya laksana Indra kedua.”
भीष्म उवाच
Greatness and visible excellence can provoke fear and suspicion; dharmic steadiness requires enduring misjudgment without losing discernment, recognizing that reputation and identity may become causes of adversity.
Bhīṣma recounts a report that certain Daityas captured a person because they believed him to be Śakra (Indra), explicitly stating, “You are Indra,” as the reason for seizing him.
