कला: काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहःक्षपा: क्षणा: । विश्वेक्षेत्र प्रजाबीज॑ लिड्रमाद्यस्तु निर्गम:
vāyudeva uvāca | kalāḥ kāṣṭhā lavā mātrā muhūrtāhaḥkṣapāḥ kṣaṇāḥ | viśvakṣetraṁ prajābījaṁ liṅgam ādyas tu nirgamaḥ ||
Vāyudeva bersabda: “Kalā, kāṣṭhā, lava, mātrā, muhūrta, siang dan malam, serta kṣaṇa—itulah ukuran dan pembagian Waktu. Ia adalah landasan semesta, laksana tanah penopang pohon kosmis; Ia adalah sebab-benih segala makhluk; Ia adalah ‘liṅga’ yang halus, tanda untuk menyimpulkan yang tak termanifest; dan Ia pula yang pertama muncul dalam penciptaan.”
