२१५७ कालयोगी--कालको भी योगबलसे जीतनेवाले
bahubhūto bahudharaḥ svarbhānur amito gatiḥ | nṛtyapriyo nityanarto nartakaḥ sarvalālasaḥ ||
Vāyu bersabda: “Ia penakluk Kala dengan daya Yoga, Yang Bersuara Agung; sempurna dengan segala hasrat, dan bagi-Nya ada empat jalan pencapaian—Jñāna-yoga, Bhakti-yoga, Karma-yoga, dan Aṣṭāṅga-yoga. Ia bergerak di malam hari, bergaul dengan para preta, berkelana di antara para bhūta—Dialah Mahēśvara, lebih agung daripada para penguasa loka seperti Indra. वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises Śiva as simultaneously one and many, infinite and yet approachable as the highest spiritual goal (gati). It frames devotion as a path to the supreme refuge, while portraying the divine as dynamic—ever-active, moving the cosmos like a dancer who also makes others dance.
Vāyu is speaking in a hymn-like passage that enumerates Mahādeva’s names and qualities. This verse continues the litany of epithets, emphasizing Śiva’s cosmic manifestations, his boundlessness, and his role as the ultimate destination for devotees and liberated beings.
