यदि यत्नो भवेन्मर्त्य: स सर्व फलमाप्नुयात् नालभ्यं चोपलभ्येत नृणां भरतसत्तम
yadi yatno bhaven martyaḥ sa sarva-phalam āpnuyāt | nālabhyaṃ copalabhyeta nṛṇāṃ bharata-sattama || bharata-bhūṣaṇa |
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata— Wahai yang terbaik di antara keturunan Bharata! Jika usaha manusia semata selalu menentukan, niscaya seseorang akan meraih semua hasil. Namun apa yang, karena takdir, tak terjangkau bagi manusia, tidak menjadi terjangkau sekalipun dengan upaya yang keras.
