ईदृश: स महादेवो भूयश्वष भगवानत: । न हि शक््या गुणा वक्तुमपि वर्षशतैरपि,भगवान् महादेव ऐसे प्रभावशाली हैं, बल्कि इससे भी बढ़कर हैं। सैकड़ों वर्षोमें भी उनके गुणोंका वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता
īdṛśaḥ sa mahādevo bhūyaś ca bhagavān ataḥ | na hi śakyā guṇā vaktum api varṣaśatair api ||
Vāyu berkata: “Demikianlah Mahādeva itu; bahkan ia lebih agung daripada yang terucap ini. Keutamaannya takkan sanggup diuraikan tuntas, meski dicoba selama ratusan tahun.”
