ततो ध्यात्वा च भगवान् ब्रह्मा तममितौजसम् | अयं श्रेष्ठ इति ज्ञात्वा ववन्दे तमुमापतिम्
tato dhyātvā ca bhagavān brahmā tam amitaujasam | ayaṁ śreṣṭha iti jñātvā vavande tam umāpatim |
Kemudian Bhagavān Brahmā bermeditasi dan mengenali Umā-pati yang bercahaya tak terukur itu; mengetahui, “Dialah yang tertinggi,” ia pun bersujud hormat kepada-Nya.
वायुदेव उवाच
True discernment arises from dhyāna (contemplation), and when the highest reality is recognized, the fitting ethical response is humility and reverent devotion rather than pride or rivalry.
Vāyudeva recounts that Brahmā meditates, identifies the immeasurably radiant Umāpati (Śiva) as the श्रेष्ठ (highest), and then offers him homage.
