एवं व्युष्टिमहं प्राप्तो ब्राह्मणस्य प्रसादजाम् । यच्च मामाह भीष्मो<यं तत्सत्यं भरतर्षभ
evaṁ vyuṣṭim ahaṁ prāpto brāhmaṇasya prasādajām | yac ca mām āha bhīṣmo 'yaṁ tat satyaṁ bharatarṣabha ||
Demikianlah aku memperoleh ganjaran mulia yang lahir dari anugerah seorang brāhmaṇa. Dan apa pun yang Bhīṣma ini katakan tentang diriku, wahai yang termulia di antara keturunan Bharata, semuanya benar adanya.
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse underscores that spiritual or ethical attainment can arise from the grace (prasāda) of a righteous brāhmaṇa, and it highlights satya (truthfulness): authoritative testimony aligned with dharma should be accepted as true.
Vāyudeva states that he has received an excellent result due to a brāhmaṇa’s favor, and he affirms to the Bharata prince addressed (commonly Yudhiṣṭhira) that Bhīṣma’s statements about him are completely true.
