Dharma-protecting spiritual authority can neutralize even boon-protected power. Boons from Brahmā do not grant moral immunity; when beings act against cosmic order, they can still be checked by a great sage acting for protection of the righteous.
Bhīṣma recounts an episode where the sage Vasiṣṭha safeguards the gods led by Indra and defeats the Daityas, including those who possessed boons granted by Brahmā, highlighting the triumph of dharmic protection over destructive aggression.
