कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
अप्रवृत्ताश्न ये लुब्धा नास्तिका दानवर्जिता: | एवंभूता नरा देवि निरयं यान्त्यबुद्धय:,देवि! ऐसे अकर्मण्य, लोभी, नास्तिक तथा दानधर्मसे दूर रहनेवाले बुद्धिहीन मनुष्य नरकमें पड़ते हैं
apravṛttāśn ye lubdhā nāstikā dānavarjitāḥ | evaṃbhūtā narā devi nirayaṃ yānty abuddhayaḥ ||
Śrī Maheśvara bersabda: “Wahai Dewi, orang-orang yang tidak mau berusaha, malas berbuat, serakah, menolak iman dan tatanan dharma, serta menjauh dari kewajiban memberi—mereka yang miskin kebijaksanaan akan jatuh ke neraka.”
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The verse warns that a life marked by inertia (lack of righteous effort), greed, denial of dharma, and avoidance of charity leads to a painful post-mortem consequence (niraya). It elevates dāna and moral faith as essential supports of ethical living.
Śrī Maheśvara addresses Devī, describing a class of people defined by greed, irreligion, and refusal to give. He states the karmic outcome for such conduct, continuing the Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction on dharma and right behavior.
