मत्तो5प्यष्टौ वरानिष्टान् गृहाण त्वं ददामि ते । प्रणम्य शिरसा सा च मयोक्ता पाण्डुनन्दन
matto 'py aṣṭau varān iṣṭān gṛhāṇa tvaṃ dadāmi te | praṇamya śirasā sā ca mayoktā pāṇḍunandana |
“Dari-Ku juga, mintalah delapan anugerah yang kau kehendaki; akan Kuberikan kepadamu.” Demikian sabda beliau. Maka, wahai putra Pāṇḍu, setelah menundukkan kepala dan bersujud hormat di kaki Sang Ibu Semesta, aku pun menyapanya—
