गुरुदेवतपूजार्थ स्वाध्याया भ्यसनात्मक: । देहिभिर्धर्मपरमैक्षर्तव्यो धर्मसम्भव:

Pemujaan kepada guru dan para dewa, serta pelaksanaan dharma berupa svādhyāya dan latihan yang tekun—semuanya wajib bagi seorang brāhmaṇa. Bagi insan yang berpegang pada dharma, patutlah ia menempuh dharma yang melahirkan kebajikan.
