Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

यत्‌ तद्‌ भगवता पूर्व दत्त चक्रं तवानघ । जलान्तरचरं हत्वा दैत्यं च बलगर्वितम्‌

yat tad bhagavatā pūrva datta cakraṁ tavānagha | jalāntaracaraṁ hatvā daityaṁ ca balagarvitam ||

Vāsudeva berkata: “Wahai yang tanpa cela, cakra yang dahulu dianugerahkan kepadamu oleh Sang Bhagavān—setelah membunuh raksasa congkak yang bergerak di dalam perairan—sesungguhnya diciptakan oleh Vṛṣadhvaja (Śiva) sendiri dan diserahkan kepadamu. Senjata itu menyala bagaikan api, berkilau dengan daya yang menakjubkan, dan tak tertandingi.”
