Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
चारुदेष्ण: सुचारुश्ष चारुवेशो यशोधर: । चारुश्रवाश्लारुयशा: प्रद्युम्न: शम्भुरेव च
Cārudeṣṇaḥ sucāruś ca cāruveśo yaśodharaḥ | Cāruśravāś cāruyaśāḥ pradyumnaḥ śambhur eva ca ||
Wahai Madhusūdana! Cārudeṣṇa, Sucāru, Cāruveśa, Yaśodhara, Cāruśravā, Cāruyaśā, Pradyumna, dan Śambhu—mereka inilah putra-putraku yang mulia, gagah, dan elok lagi perkasa. Sebagaimana melalui rahim Rukmiṇī Engkau menganugerahkan mereka kepadaku, demikian pula anugerahkanlah kepadaku putra (juga).
वासुदेव उवाच
