अध्याय १३२ — कर्मणा मनसा वाचा: स्वर्गमार्गः तथा आयुर्विपाकः
Adhyāya 132 — The path to heaven through deed, mind, and speech; karmic results for lifespan
श्रीरुवाच प्रकीर्ण भाजनं यत्र भिन्नभाण्डमथासनम् । योषितश्वैव हन्यते कश्मलोपहते गृहे
śrīr uvāca—prakīrṇa-bhājanaṃ yatra bhinna-bhāṇḍam atha āsanam | yoṣitaś caiva hanyate kaśmalopahate gṛhe ||
Śrī (Lakṣmī) bersabda: “Rumah yang bejananya berserakan, perkakasnya pecah, tempat duduknya koyak, dan di mana perempuan dipukul serta dihina—rumah itu ternoda oleh dosa. Dari rumah tangga yang demikian tercemar, pada saat perayaan dan hari-hari suci, para dewa dan para leluhur berpaling pulang dengan kecewa; mereka tidak menerima pemujaan yang dipersembahkan di sana.”
