पापात् प्रवर्धतो दृष्टया कल्याणानावसीदत: । ध्रुवं गर्हयसे नित्यं तेनासि हरिण: कृश:
pāpāt pravardhato dṛṣṭvā kalyāṇān avasīdataḥ | dhruvaṃ garhayase nityaṃ tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
Melihat dosa kian merajalela, dan melihat orang-orang saleh—yang tekun dalam perbuatan baik—direndahkan hingga menderita, engkau pasti mengecam keadaan ini berulang-ulang. Karena cela batin yang tak putus itulah, wahai kijang, engkau menjadi kurus dan pucat.
