Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla

कथेयमभवत् तत्र त्वया या परिकीर्तिता । सुमनोधूपदीपानां सम्प्रदाने फलं प्रति

katheyam abhavat tatra tvayā yā parikīrtitā | sumano-dhūpa-dīpānāṁ sampradāne phalaṁ prati |

Bhishma berkata: “Di sana berlangsung percakapan yang sama seperti yang engkau kisahkan—pokoknya ialah buah (pahala) yang timbul dari mempersembahkan bunga, dupa, dan pelita kepada para dewa. Pada saat itu, raja para Daitya, Bali, mengajukan pertanyaan yang mulia ini kepada resi-penyair Shukra.”
