प्राणेभ्यो5पि प्रियतरा भार्गवस्य महात्मन: । त्वं भद्रे धर्मतः पूज्या गुरुपुत्री सदा मम
prāṇebhyo 'pi priyatarā bhārgavasya mahātmanaḥ | tvaṃ bhadre dharmataḥ pūjyā guruputrī sadā mama, bhadre ||
Wahai wanita lembut, engkau lebih kucintai daripada nyawaku sendiri—namun karena engkau putri guruku, sang Mahātmā Bhārgava, maka menurut dharma engkau senantiasa harus kuhormati.
कच उवाच
Personal affection must be governed by dharma: even if someone is deeply dear, one must maintain proper reverence and ethical boundaries—here, honoring the guru’s household as worthy of respect.
Kaca addresses the guru’s daughter, expressing that she is extremely dear to him, yet he emphasizes that, as his teacher Bhārgava’s daughter, she must be treated with continual honor in accordance with dharma.
