Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
न-आऔका-<० ड-ण करा - “कनिष्छान् पुत्रवत् पश्येज्ज्येष्ठो भ्राता पितु: समः' अर्थात् “बड़ा भाई पिताके समान होता है। वह अपने छोटे भाइयोंको पुत्रके समान देखे।” यह शास्त्रकी आज्ञा है। जिनमें फूट हो जाती है
Ugraśravā uvāca— spṛṣṭamātrā tu pādābhyāṃ sā garuḍena balīyasā | abhajyata taroḥ śākhā bhagnāṃ cainām adhārayat ||
Ugraśravas berkata: “Wahai Śaunaka dan para resi agung lainnya, begitu kaki Garuḍa yang maha perkasa sekadar menyentuhnya, cabang besar pohon itu pun patah. Namun, meski telah patah, ia segera merengkuh dan menahannya, sehingga cabang itu tidak jatuh.”
रौहिण उवाच
Power is not merely the capacity to break or dominate; it is also the discipline to prevent harm. Garuḍa’s strength is paired with restraint as he supports the broken branch rather than letting it fall and injure others.
As Ugraśravas narrates to Śaunaka and the sages, Garuḍa touches a tree-branch with his feet; it breaks from the force, but he immediately holds the broken branch, keeping it supported.
