Educational Q&A

Even in festive or public spectacles, royal duty includes ensuring propriety and safety—especially for vulnerable or protected groups such as the women of the royal household—through orderly arrangements and adequate security.

Dhṛtarāṣṭra asks for details about the construction and arrangement of the viewing-hall/arena, specifically whether skilled craftsmen built it well and whether a secure, well-equipped pavilion was prepared for the king and the royal women to watch the event.
