ततो युधिष्ठिर: पूर्व धनुर्ग.ह्य परंतप: । तस्थौ भासं समुद्दिश्य गुरुवाक्यप्रचोदित:,तब शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले युधिष्ठिर गुरुकी आज्ञासे प्रेरित हो सबसे पहले धनुष लेकर गीधको बींधनेके लिये लक्ष्य बनाकर खड़े हो गये
tato yudhiṣṭhiraḥ pūrvaṃ dhanur gṛhya parantapaḥ | tasthau bhāsaṃ samuddiśya guruvākyapracoditaḥ ||
Maka Yudhiṣṭhira, penakluk musuh, terdorong oleh titah sang guru, lebih dahulu mengangkat busur dan berdiri tegak dengan bidikannya tertuju pada burung nasar itu.
