न हि किंचिददेयं मे गुरवे ब्रह्म॒वित्तम | एकलव्यने कहा--भगवन्! मैं आपको क्या दूँ? स्वयं गुरुदेव ही मुझे इसके लिये आज्ञा दें। ब्रह्मवेत्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ आचार्य! मेरे पास कोई ऐसी वस्तु नहीं
na hi kiñcid adeyaṃ me gurave brahmavittama
Ekalavya berkata: “Wahai yang mengetahui Brahman, bagiku tiada sesuatu pun yang tak dapat kuberikan kepada guru. Wahai ācārya termulia di antara para brahmavid, apa pun yang kumiliki layak kupersembahkan kepada guru; tak ada benda yang akan kutahan darinya.”
