शास्त्रतः पूजितश्वैव सम्यक् तेन महात्मना । स भीष्मेण महाभागस्तुष्टो5स्त्रविदुषां वर:,अस्त्र-विद्याके दिद्दानोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाभाग द्रोण महात्मा भीष्मके द्वारा शास्त्रविधिसे भलीभाँति पूजित होनेपर बहुत संतुष्ट हुए
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: śāstrataḥ pūjitaś caiva samyak tena mahātmanā | sa Bhīṣmeṇa mahābhāgas tuṣṭo 'straviduṣāṃ varaḥ ||
Waiśampāyana berkata: Sang mulia Bhīṣma menghormati Droṇa sepenuhnya menurut tata cara śāstra; maka Droṇa yang termasyhur—terunggul di antara para ahli astra-vidyā—menjadi sangat berkenan kepada Bhīṣma.
