Droṇa–Drupada Saṃvāda and Droṇa’s Reception at the Kuru Court (द्रोण-द्रुपद-संवादः; कुरुनगरप्रवेशः)

अधर्मेण न नो धर्म: संयुज्यति कथंचन । लोकक्षायं वरारोहे धर्मोडयमिति मन्यते

adharmeṇa na no dharmaḥ saṁyujyati kathaṁcana | lokakṣāyaṁ varārohe dharmo ’yam iti manyate |

Waiśampāyana berkata: “Dharma kita takkan pernah, bagaimanapun juga, bersatu dengan adharma. Wahai wanita berpinggul elok, dunia pun memandang ini sebagai dharma yang nyata—dharma yang menyelamatkan masyarakat dari kebinasaan. Putra yang lahir melalui Dharma akan menjadi yang paling saleh di antara para Kuru; tak ada keraguan. Putra yang dianugerahkan oleh Dharma takkan condong pada ketidakbenaran. Karena itu, wahai yang tersenyum lembut, kendalikan pikiran dan indramu, tempatkan dharma di hadapanmu, dan dengan pemujaan yang semestinya serta tata upacara yang ditetapkan, panggillah Dewa Dharma.”
