अध्याय 91: अरिष्ट-लक्षण, मृत्यु-संस्कार, पाशुपत-धारणा तथा ओङ्कार-उपासना
मात्रा चार्धं च तिस्रस्तु विज्ञेयाः परमार्थतः तत्प्रयुक्तस्तु यो योगी तस्य सालोक्यमाप्नुयात्
mātrā cārdhaṃ ca tisrastu vijñeyāḥ paramārthataḥ tatprayuktastu yo yogī tasya sālokyamāpnuyāt
Dalam makna tertinggi, hendaknya dipahami dengan benar tiga mātrā dan setengah-mātrā. Yogin yang menerapkan disiplin pelafalan suci yang terukur itu meraih sālokya—berdiam di alam ilahi yang sama dengan Pati Śiva, pembebas paśu yang terikat pāśa.

It links outer devotion to inner discipline: correct, measured mantra-recitation (mātrā and half-mātrā) refines the worshipper’s consciousness, making Linga-pūjā a yogic means toward Śiva’s realm (sālokya).
Śiva is implied as Pati—the Lord whose sphere is attainable when the pashu (individual soul) practices the right saṃskāra of mantra and yoga, loosening pāśa (bondage) through disciplined application.
Mantra-japa with precise timing—knowing the three mātrā-s and the half-mātrā—presented as a Pāśupata-oriented yogic discipline that culminates in sālokya-mukti.
