सप्तद्वीप-सप्तसमुद्र-वर्णनम् तथा प्रियव्रतवंश-राज्यविभागः

कुसुमोत्तरस्य वै वर्षं पञ्चमं कुसुमोत्तरम् मोदकं चापि मोदाकेर् वर्षं षष्ठं प्रकीर्तितम्

kusumottarasya vai varṣaṃ pañcamaṃ kusumottaram modakaṃ cāpi modāker varṣaṃ ṣaṣṭhaṃ prakīrtitam

Varṣa kelima dinyatakan bernama Kusumottara; dan varṣa keenam, milik Modāka, disebut pula Modaka.
