On the Causes/Means of Knowledge

हरेः प्रीत्यर्थं कुरुते सौ कदाच्चित्तत्रापि कश्चिद्विशेषो ऽस्ति वीन्द्र / शृणुष्व सम्यङ्निगृहीतचित्तो यथा प्रोवाच स विजानाति देवः

hareḥ prītyarthaṃ kurute sau kadāccittatrāpi kaścidviśeṣo 'sti vīndra / śṛṇuṣva samyaṅnigṛhītacitto yathā provāca sa vijānāti devaḥ

Sekalipun suatu ritus dilakukan demi menyenangkan Hari, wahai raja burung (Garuḍa), tetap ada perbedaan khusus yang harus dipahami di dalamnya. Dengarkan dengan batin yang terkendali, sebagaimana Deva Yang Mahatahu itu telah menyatakan.
