Lord Vishnu (in instruction to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Properly ordered installation and worship of Ananta/Sudarśanā forms on the cakra yields desired aims (kāma-siddhi) and protection.
Vedantic Theme: Upāsanā as a means to purify intention; the Lord’s śakti (Sudarśana) as protective intelligence ordering chaos.
Application: In pūjā, follow prescribed krama (order), markings (rekhā), and mantra; treat worship as disciplined attention rather than mere wish-fulfillment.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.66 (Sudarśana/Ananta arrangement and worship context)
This verse states that the Sudarśanā-identified (Sudarshana-related) forms/markings, when properly inscribed and worshipped, are considered capable of granting desired aims (sarva-kāma-dāḥ).
It emphasizes orderly, sequential placement (kramāt) of Ananta and related markings on a chakra (disc), using lines and prescribed signs (rekā-ādikaiḥ), indicating a technical, rule-based ritual/diagram practice.
Approach worship with clarity and discipline—follow an authentic procedure, maintain correct sequence, and focus devotion on Vishnu’s protective aspect (Sudarshana) rather than treating rituals as random or improvised.
