FAQs

This verse assigns specific household functions to specific quarters—north‑east for fragrances/flowers, north for storage, and north‑west for cattle—indicating that orderly living and ritual cleanliness are supported by directional discipline.

It does not describe the soul’s journey; it belongs to the Ācāra (conduct) teachings, emphasizing proper household organization as part of dharmic living.

Keep a clean, dedicated space for worship-related items like flowers and incense (ideally in the north‑east), place general storage away from sacred areas (north), and situate animal/cattle areas toward the north‑west where applicable.
