Ācāra-Nirṇaya: Varṇa-Āśrama Dharma, Śauca, Snāna, Sandhyā, Japa, Tarpaṇa, and Gṛhastha-Dinacaryā

ततः स्नानर्ं प्कुर्वीत दन्तधावनपूर्वकम् / मुखे पर्युषिते नित्यं भवत्यप्रयतो नरः

tataḥ snānarṃ pkurvīta dantadhāvanapūrvakam / mukhe paryuṣite nityaṃ bhavatyaprayato naraḥ

Sesudah itu hendaknya mandi, didahului dengan membersihkan gigi. Bila mulut setiap hari dibiarkan kotor, manusia menjadi lalai dan tidak layak dalam kesucian serta disiplin dharma.
