This verse presents four-month devotion to Viṣṇu—supported by bathing, ācamana, worship, and japa—as a disciplined vrata that culminates in attaining Viṣṇu’s realm, described as free from impurity.
It links inner and outer purification (snāna, ācamana) with sustained devotion (arcana, japa, vrata) as the qualifying path leading the practitioner toward Viṣṇu-loka rather than lower post-mortem destinations.
Adopt a consistent daily practice—cleanliness, brief purification, mantra repetition, and Viṣṇu worship—along with moderated diet (eka-bhakta) during Cāturmāsya or any chosen period of disciplined devotion.
