Kṛṣṇa Visits Trivakrā; Akrūra’s Praise and the Hastināpura Mission
अद्येश नो वसतय: खलु भूरिभागा य: सर्वदेवपितृभूतनृदेवमूर्ति: । यत्पादशौचसलिलं त्रिजगत् पुनाति स त्वं जगद्गुरुरधोक्षज या: प्रविष्ट: ॥ २५ ॥
adyeśa no vasatayaḥ khalu bhūri-bhāgā yaḥ sarva-deva-pitṛ-bhūta-nṛ-deva-mūrtiḥ yat-pāda-śauca-salilaṁ tri-jagat punāti sa tvaṁ jagad-gurur adhokṣaja yāḥ praviṣṭaḥ
Hari ini, ya Tuhan, rumah kami menjadi amat beruntung karena Engkau berkenan memasuki-nya. Engkau adalah wujud para dewa, leluhur, makhluk, manusia dan para dewa langit; air yang membasuh kaki-Mu menyucikan tiga dunia. Wahai Adhokṣaja, Engkaulah guru rohani alam semesta.
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī has nicely interpreted Akrūra’s feelings as follows:
This verse states that the water used to wash the Lord’s feet purifies the three worlds, highlighting the Lord’s transcendental purity and the sanctifying potency of contact with Him.
They recognize Him as the universal spiritual master and the Supreme Lord beyond material perception, whose presence blesses and sanctifies their homes and lives.
By honoring the Lord’s presence through devotional practices—especially humble service, remembrance, and reverence for sanctified items like caraṇāmṛta—one cultivates purity and gratitude in daily life.
