Kṛṣṇa Comforts His Parents, Restores Ugrasena, Studies with Sāndīpani, and Returns the Guru’s Son
tatheti tenopānītaṁ guru-putraṁ yadūttamau dattvā sva-gurave bhūyo vṛṇīṣveti tam ūcatuḥ
Yamarāja berkata, “Baiklah,” lalu menghadirkan putra sang guru.
This verse shows Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma returning their guru’s son and then asking the guru to choose another boon—teaching that sincere service to the spiritual master is central to dharma and bhakti.
After fulfilling the requested service by restoring his son, they offered further service, demonstrating humility and the mood that one can never repay the guru’s mercy.
Serve teachers and mentors with integrity, gratitude, and follow-through—complete what you promise, and keep a humble attitude rather than seeking credit.
