Sukta 8
प्राणापानौ चक्षुः श्रोत्रमक्षितिश्च क्षितिश्च या। व्यानोदानौ वाङ् मनस्ते वा आकूतिमावहन्
prāṇāpānāú cákṣuḥ śrótram ákṣitiś ca kṣítiś ca yā́ | vyānódānāu vā́ṅ mánaḥ té vā́ ākū́tim ā́vahan |
In-breath and out-breath, sight and hearing, imperishableness and firm support; diffusive breath and upward breath, speech and mind—these verily brought hither settled purpose.
Tarikan-nafas (prāṇa) dan hembusan-nafas (apāna), penglihatan dan pendengaran, yang tak-binasa dan penopang yang teguh; nafas yang menyebar (vyāna) dan nafas yang naik (udāna), ujaran (vāc) dan budi (manas)—semua itulah, sungguh, yang membawa ke sini tekad yang mantap (ākūti).
