Sukta 5
ब्रह्मचर्येण कन्या३ युवानं विन्दते पतिम्। अनड्वान् ब्रह्मचर्येणाश्वो घासं जिगीर्षति
brahmacaryéṇa kanyā́ yúvānaṃ vindate pátim | anaḍvā́n brahmacaryéṇā́śvo ghā́saṃ jigīrṣati ||
By holy studentship the maiden winneth her youthful lord as spouse. By studentship the strong bull, and the horse, would fain win fodder for their need.
Dengan brahmacarya (masa belajar suci), sang gadis memperoleh pemuda sebagai suami. Dengan brahmacarya pula, lembu jantan yang kuat dan kuda ingin meraih rumput pakan bagi keperluannya.
