एवं नारायणेनासौ सहायुध्यत नारद दिव्यं वर्षसस्रं तु दैत्यो देवं न चाजयत्
evaṃ nārāyaṇenāsau sahāyudhyata nārada divyaṃ varṣasasraṃ tu daityo devaṃ na cājayat
इस प्रकार, हे नारद, वह नारायण के साथ मिलकर युद्ध करता रहा; परन्तु एक हजार दिव्य वर्षों तक भी दैत्य देव को जीत न सका।
