Transliteration

taṃ dṛṣṭvā mahadāścaryaṃ sarvāmaragaṇakṣayam daityaḥ śaṅkaramabhyāgād gadāmādāya vegavān

उस महान् आश्चर्य को—समस्त देवगणों के लोप को—देखकर दैत्य वेगपूर्वक गदा उठाकर शंकर की ओर दौड़ा।
