Verse 8

Yogatattva

निष्कलं निर्मलं शान्तं सर्वातीतं निरामयम् । तदेव जीवरूपेण पुण्यपापफलैर्वृतम् ॥८॥

निष्कलम् । निर्मलम् । शान्तम् । सर्व-अतीतम् । निरामयम् । तत्-एव । जीव-रूपेण । पुण्य-पाप-फलैः । वृतम् ॥

niṣkalaṃ nirmalaṃ śāntaṃ sarvātītaṃ nirāmayam | tad eva jīvarūpeṇa puṇyapāpaphalair vṛtam ||8||

वह निष्कल, निर्मल, शान्त, सर्वातीत और निरामय है। वही, जीव-रूप धारण करके, पुण्य-पाप के फलों से आच्छादित प्रतीत होता है।॥८॥

Partless, stainless, peaceful, transcending all, free from disease—That alone, in the form of the individual soul, is covered by the fruits of merit and demerit.
