Sukta 3.46
महाँ असि महिष वृष्ण्येभिर्धनस्पृदुग्र सहमानो अन्यान् । एको विश्वस्य भुवनस्य राजा स योधया च क्षयया च जनान् ॥
mahā́m̐ asi mahiṣa vṛ́ṣṇyebhir dhana-spṛ́d ugra sáhamāno anyā́n | éko víśvasya bhúvanasya rājā́ sá yódhayā ca kṣáyayā ca jánān ||
हे महिष! तू पुरुषार्थ-शक्तियों से महान है; धन को जीतने वाला, उग्र, दूसरों को परास्त करने वाला। समस्त भुवन का तू अकेला राजा है; तू जनों को युद्ध में प्रवृत्त भी करता है और उन्हें सुरक्षित निवास में बसाता भी है।
