Sukta 1.52
स पर्वतो न धरुणेष्वच्युतः सहस्रमूतिस्तविषीषु वावृधे । इन्द्रो यद्वृत्रमवधीन्नदीवृतमुब्जन्नर्णांसि जर्हृषाणो अन्धसा ॥
sá párvato ná dharuṇéṣv ácyutaḥ sahásramūtis táviṣīṣu vāvṛdhe | índro yád vṛtrám ávadhīn nadīvṛ́tam ubjánn arṇā́ṃsi járhṛṣāṇo ándhasā ||
वह पर्वत के समान अडिग है, अपने आधारों में अचल; सहस्र-सहाय (सहस्रमूति) अपनी विविध शक्तियों में बढ़ता है। जब इन्द्र ने नदियों को रोकने वाले वृत्र का वध किया, तब उसने जल-प्रवाहों को उलीचकर (उब्जन्) मुक्त किया, सोम-आनन्द (अन्धस्) में हर्षित होकर।
