नाहं स्वप्नमिमं मन्ये स्वप्ने दृष्ट्वा हि वानरम्।।।।न शक्योऽभ्युदयः प्राप्तुं प्राप्तश्चाभ्युदयो मम।
nāhaṃ svapnam imaṃ manye svapne dṛṣṭvā hi vānaram | na śakyo 'bhyudayaḥ prāptuṃ prāptaś cābhyudayo mama ||
मैं इसे स्वप्न नहीं मानती; क्योंकि स्वप्न में वानर को देखने से कल्याण की प्राप्ति नहीं होती—पर मेरे लिए तो अभी सचमुच कल्याण आ पहुँचा है।
"I do not think it is a dream. Pleasure cannot be experienced by seeing a vanara in a dream. I experience pleasure now (seeing a monkey in a dream is a bad omen).
Dharma is rational discernment aligned with satya: Sītā weighs signs and consequences to decide what is real, refusing to be misled by mere appearances.
Sītā argues herself out of the “dream” hypothesis: her present uplift (abhyudaya) indicates a real encounter, not a deceptive dream.
Sītā’s clarity of judgment under pressure—she analyzes her experience rather than reacting blindly.
