Aṅgada Re-energizes the Southern Search Party
वनानि गिरयो नद्यो दुर्गाणि गहनानि च।दर्यो गिरिगुहाश्चैव विचितानि समन्ततः।।।।तत्र तत्र सहास्माभिर्जानकी न च दृश्यते।तद्वा रक्षो हृता येन सीता सुरसुतोपमा।।।।
vanāni girayo nadyo durgāṇi gahanāni ca | daryo giriguhāś caiva vicitāni samantataḥ || tatra tatra sahāsmābhir jānakī na ca dṛśyate | tad vā rakṣo hṛtā yena sītā surasutopamā ||
वन, पर्वत, नदियाँ, दुर्गम दुर्ग और घने प्रदेश—गुफाएँ तथा पर्वतीय कन्दराएँ भी—हम सबने मिलकर चारों ओर खोज डालीं। फिर भी कहीं जानकी दिखाई नहीं देती; और वह राक्षस भी नहीं मिलता, जिसने देवकन्या-सी सीता का हरण किया।
'We have searched here, there, everywhere, in dense forests, hills, forts, impenetrable caverns and mountain ranges. But we could find neither Janaki who is like a goddess nor the demon who abducted her.
Satya and accountability: a leader truthfully reports that exhaustive effort has not yet produced results, which is essential for righteous decision-making.
The searchers acknowledge they have thoroughly combed many terrains but have not located Sītā or identified the abductor.
