सप्तचत्वारिंशः सर्गः — वानरयूथपानां अन्वेषणवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम्

गहनेषु च देशेषु दुर्गेषु विषमेषु च।सत्त्वान्यतिप्रमाणानि विचितानि हतानि च।।4.47.13।।ये चैव गहना देशा विचितास्ते पुनः पुनः।
gahaneṣu ca deśeṣu durgeṣu viṣameṣu ca |
sattvāny atipramāṇāni vicitāni hatāni ca || 4.47.13 ||
ye caiva gahanā deśā vicitās te punaḥ punaḥ |
घने वनों के भीतर, दुर्गम दुर्गों में और विषम भूमि पर भी उन्होंने खोज की। वहाँ अत्यन्त विशाल वन्य प्राणी मिले—खोजे गए और कुछ तो मारे भी गए; और जो-जो कठिन प्रदेश थे, उन्हें बार-बार भली-भाँति छाना गया।
