तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
यदि दृश्येत सा साध्वी यदि चेह वसेमहि।स्पृहयेयं न शक्राय नायोध्यायै रघूत्तम।।।।
yadi dṛśyeta sā sādhvī yadi ceha vasemahi |
spṛhayeyaṃ na śakrāya nāyodhyāyai raghūttama ||
यदि वह साध्वी सीता दिखाई दे जाए—और यदि हम यहीं उसके साथ निवास कर सकें—तो, हे रघुनन्दन! मुझे न इन्द्र-पद की लालसा रहेगी, न अयोध्या की भी॥
'O Lakshmna, the best of the Raghu race, if only that chaste Sita appears, we will stay here. I will not wish for the position of Indra or for Ayodhya.
