काञ्चनं रथमास्थाय कामगं रत्नभूषितम्।पिशाचवदनैर्युक्तं खरैः काञ्चनभूषणैः।।3.35.6।।मेघप्रतिमनादेन स तेन धनदानुजः।राक्षसाधिपतिश्श्रीमान्ययौ नदनदीपतिम्।।3.35.7।।
kāñcanaṃ ratham āsthāya kāmagaṃ ratnabhūṣitam |
piśācavadanair yuktaṃ kharaiḥ kāñcanabhūṣaṇaiḥ ||
meghapratimanādena sa tena dhanadānujaḥ |
rākṣasādhipatiḥ śrīmān yayau nadanadīpatim ||
रत्नों से विभूषित, इच्छानुसार चलने वाले स्वर्ण रथ पर आरूढ़ होकर—सोने के आभूषणों से सजे, पिशाच-मुख वाले गधों से युक्त—मेघ-गर्जना समान नाद करता हुआ धनद के अनुज, श्रीमान् राक्षसाधिपति रावण नद-नदियों के स्वामी समुद्र की ओर चला।
