वामदेवः स्वयं भूयाद्वामतीर्थं ततः स्मृतम् । प्रार्थितोऽथ महानद्यां रामस्नातोऽभवद्यदा ॥ ५ ॥
vāmadevaḥ svayaṃ bhūyādvāmatīrthaṃ tataḥ smṛtam | prārthito'tha mahānadyāṃ rāmasnāto'bhavadyadā || 5 ||
वहाँ स्वयं वामदेव प्रकट हुए; इसलिए वह स्थान ‘वामतीर्थ’ के नाम से स्मरण किया जाता है। और जब उनसे प्रार्थना की गई, तब उसी समय राम ने महानदी में पवित्र स्नान किया।
