अध्याय ५०: उत्तरेण सह अर्जुनस्य रथप्रयाणे ध्वजचिह्नैः कौरवसेनानिर्देशः

तथाधिगगम्य वित्तानि को विकत्थेद् विचक्षण: । निकृत्या वज्चनायोगैश्वरन् वैतंसिको यथा
tathādhigamya vittāni ko vikatthhed vicakṣaṇaḥ | nikṛtyā vañcanāyogaiś caran vaitamsiko yathā ||
ऐसे छल से प्राप्त धन को पाकर कौन विवेकी पुरुष डींग मारेगा? जैसे व्याध ठगी और छल-कपट के उपायों से जीवन चलाता है, वैसे ही कपटपूर्ण वृत्ति से धन पाकर कौन बुद्धिमान अपने ही मुँह अपनी प्रशंसा करेगा?
